The oldest milonga in Portugal and one of the oldest and most traditional in Europe. Founded, in 1999, by Alejandro, originally from Buenos Aires, and Solange, from Porto.
It stands out for the promotion of social tango from Buenos Aires and for the consistency in the values it offers to the participants, highlighting the intimate meaning of the embrace, music and social celebration of the milonga as the center of tango.
Milonga d’Abarca has been characterized, since 1999, for its loyalty to the traditional tango of Buenos Aires and for its communion with the traditional Portuguese fado.
An original idea designed and developed by Professor Alejandro, who has been attracting the attention of some of Portugal’s most famous musicians and singers.
